Data Breaches Threaten Intellectual Property and Bottom Line

The study found that more than one-third of organizations not using data loss prevention technology had information stolen from their databases within the last 12 months and that 30% of those data breaches impacted bottom-line revenues.
The report by Enterprise Strategy Group finds data breaches and compliance as the big drivers behind data loss prevention programs. No surprises here but more background material if you are trying to justify a data loss prevention initiative.
