Do You Trust Your Phone with Your Business Intelligence Reports?

Cognos is making headway in BI reporting by pushing reports to mobile phones. ComputerWorld notes:

Cognos Inc. said today that its Cognos 8 Go Mobile business intelligence (BI) software now supports Windows Mobile 6 smart phones, as well as Nokia Corp. E-series and N-series devices running S60 Third Edition on the Symbian operating system.

I've worked on enough business intelligence systems to know that managers don't trust the person in the next cubical to see their reports, would these same people trust their phones with that data?

We've known smartphones were getting smarter and faster and better connected to IT resources. Now we're seeing more than contact lists on phones. Now we have the option of loosing our phones with the latest information on company performance, product sales, revenues and margins on them.

Maybe this will be the killer app that kills poor security practices with smartphones.
