Spyware on Mobile Devices

It's still early but it looks like a market is developing for stealing information from mobile devices. It's time to start including mobile device protection in data loss prevention programs if they aren't there already.

No hard data yet, buth ComputerWorld notes:

anecdotal evidence has emerged that enterprises may be increasingly encountering mobile spyware on their fleets of phones. The clues have come from companies that are relatively cagey when talking about what they have seen.

The article points out malware tools for generating mobile spying programs can running as much as $12.500 for new ones like Mobile SpySuite.
