Hacking for Hillary
It's no surprise political campaign sites get hacked like others. Someone managed to inject malicious Javascript into the community forum on Barack Obama's site which redirected visitors to Clinton's site. Needless to say, speculation about the Clinton campaign's involvement came soon after the exploit.
A YouTube video Barack Obama Website Hacked By Clinton Supporter demonstrates the attack and accuses the Clinton campaign of hiring someone to hack the site a couple of days before the Pennsylvania primary. The clip offers no evidence, but what can we expect at this point in the primary season.
This isn't the first time one campaign has accused an opponent of cyber vandalism. The Lieberman campaign accused a Democratic primary opponent of launching a denial of service attack. After a thorough FBI investigation, it became apparent the Lieberman problem was a misconfigured Web server, not a DOS attack.
Regardless of who did it, both candidates look worse. Obama for having been hacked, and Clinton for being associated in with cheap, adolescent tactics.
