Security and Virtualized Servers

Concerned about security implications of virtualization? See the latest article in the Messaging and Web Security Digital Library on security and virtualized servers. Here is an excerpt:

Virtualized servers allow administrators and users to more effectively use the compute resources of contemporary multi-core processors. The benefits are coupled with challenges faced by administrators with non-virtualized servers as well as complexities unique to virtualized environments. This article examines the security issues that one should understand when working with virtualized servers. It starts with a brief introduction to the benefits of virtualization and why it has become so widely adopted. In spite of the benefits, adoption of virtualization may be slowed by security concerns.
