Squeezing More Out of Security Budgets

It's like getting blood from a stone but it may be possible to squeeze a bit more out of security budgets.

At least that what Garnter contends, according to Red Orbit:

the most important way information security organisations can save money this year is by leveraging on the convergence of established security functions into network or host-based security platforms that provide multiple layers of security in a single product

Unified threat management (UTM) systems can save with consolidated reporting, policy based management, the ability to select which controls are deployed and scale as needed. See Article 3: Unified Threat Management for more.
