Browser Security: Anti-Phishing in Firefox 2.0

Keeping ahead of phishers just got a little bit easier. An upgrade of the popular Firefox browser from Mozilla includes anti-phishing protection. The browser by default is enabled with anti-phishing features turned on. When browsing, Firefox will check the sites you visit against a blacklist of known phishing sites.

The blacklist is stored locally and updated regularly. If you want to check a site against the most up to date list, there is an option for that too.

The Mozilla email client, Thunderbird, also has anti-phishing protection.
