Peer-to-Peer Networks: Another Malware Delivery Tool?
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networks are a popular method for sharing files but they are pose a threat of infecting client devices with malware. This podcasts looks at the results of two studies on the spread of malware in common P2P networks like Limewire and KaZaA. The researchers find: P2P filtering is inadequate, that clients can become infected with a range of malware types, including downloaders, worms and keyloggers, and significant numbers of infected hosts have been listed on DNS spam black lists.
