Controlling phishing with spam filtering and user awareness are effective to some degree but other technologies and techniques promise to improve on these. In this podcast, we discuss trusted paths, 2-factor authentication, password hashing, transaction analysis and anti-phishing toolbars. For each technique, we describe how it works, its advantages, implementation issues, and potential methods for compromising it.
